Aquamarine (Meaning of Sea-Water) is the Blue / Green variety of Beryl, which also includes Emerald (Green), Morganite (Pink), Heliodor (Yellow), Bixbite (Red) and Goshenite (Colourless).
In ancient times, Aquamarine amulets engraved with images of the Greek God of the sea Poseidon, were believed to protect sailors from harm.
