Description

Elizabeth I Rainbow portrait necklace pendant.

This is a complete one off piece, which I made for the 50th Anniversary of Living Crafts at Hatfield House.

Hatfield House is the home of one version of the famous Elizabeth I, 16th Century Tudor “Rainbow Portrait” attributed to Marcus Gheeraerts The younger.

The name of the portrait comes from the fact that Elizabeth I is holding a Rainbow with the verse “Non sine sole iris” meaning No rainbow without the sun.

Indicating that She, Elizabeth I is the only one who can ensure peace and prosperity.

The piece has taken approximately 100 hours to create.

Entirely handcrafted in sterling silver 24ct Gold Vermeil. The pendant is set with white Topaz and a beautiful trio of natural garnets along with a double string of freshwater cultured pearls.

This pendant measures 3 inches in length, including the double lock pearl bail. The pearl collar is 18 inches with a hook link fastening.

The piece culminates with a fabulous large pear drop fresh water cultured Pearl.

The ensemble holds full UK Hallmarks and Nicky’s Makers mark.

The piece comes beautifully gift boxed and I am confident it will become a treasured heirloom.

There will NEVER BE ANOTHER!

Below is a short reel of how I have created the piece and will take you to my Facebook page
